Make a Commitment! Join the Green Museums Accord |
WELCOME TO THE GREEN MUSEUMS INITIATIVE!
The Green Museums Initiative Committee has created this new website to
inspire and offer practical ideas to help your institution become a "green
museum". Whether you are just starting out or are already accomplished
in your green practices, join us in the realization of a green and
sustainable museum field.
As you navigate through the GMI website, you will find information
about becoming more sustainable, department by department, including
easy tips in Things to Do Today which will help you to reevaluate your
daily work.
You can read about the steps CAM is taking to green their annual
Conference and access a Resource Guide to further deepen your
practices and knowledge base. With your help, discover what other
museums are doing to be green through a growing collection of Green
Museum Stories.
The GMI website will continually change and grow as the field of green
museums and sustainable practices grows, so check back again soon to
keep up with and read new information as it is released.
